Joshua Karam is the co-founder and CEO of Hyr. Hyr connects traditional businesses, starting with restaurants and bars, with independent labor to fill shifts, on-demand. Josh has an extensive background as an executive Human Resources leader and entrepreneur.
Prior to co-founding Hyr, Josh founded Synchronize HR a full service human resources firm specializing in a better class of HR services - serving clients in key industries including aviation, retail and hospitality. Prior, he held various executive level roles with Starwood Hotels and Resort and Marriot International. Josh served as President of the Hospitality Human Resource Professionals Association (HHRPA), and hosted Toronto Speaks: Careers; a live and interactive talk show designed to elevate the careers of viewers by helping to enhance job search skills and overcome everyday struggles faced in the workplace.
