An entrepreneurial leader who is driven by value creation, Jill Becker specializes in product commercialization and new market initiatives and raising the funds to do so. Currently, Jill Becker is the CEO of Kebotix, which aims to reinvent the materials industry and enable a new age of discovery of new materials using AI, machine learning, and robotics.
Jill Becker is also CEO and Founder of 02139 Inc, an exciting consulting company that she started in 2013 focused on providing executive consulting services and investment advice to both public and private companies with a heavy focus on accelerating growth, maximizing value and the creation of jobs in a variety of industries and translating innovations into tangible commercial success.
Prior to that, Jill Becker was CEO and Founder of Cambridge NanoTech Inc. that she started back in 2003 straight from her Ph.D thesis at Harvard University. Under her leadership the company was instantly profitable and had operated at a profit every year since then and had been one of the fastest growing private companies for numerous years in the US from 2008-2012 until it was sold. In December 2012, Cambridge NanoTech was sold to Ultratech Inc a public semiconductor company. Jill Becker continued to help further this transition of the company’s technical, sales and operational functions in 2013.
Jill Becker also mentors through a variety of entities and her network to further the entrepreneurial ecosystem that she lives in and to help especially technology and life sciences companies grow and create jobs. She also helps non-profits with their development work and fundraising.
Besides being a seasoned executive, Jill Becker holds a Hon B.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Toronto and completed her Master’s and Ph.D in Chemistry at Harvard University. Jill Becker is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and has won numerous awards including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in Energy and Materials. In her spare time Jill Becker loves to spend time with her friends and family. She loves to travel and to continue to learn. She loves to snowboard and like most chemists is a foodie.
