Protein Forest, Inc. is an early stage company dedicated to the development of laboratory products for the rapid fractionation and enrichment of complex protein mixtures. Protein Forest’s parallel trapping technology platform is based on long established principles for isoelectric focusing (IEF). The breakthrough is the digital ProteomeChip™ (dPC™) which eliminates the long run times and cumbersome gel handling protocols of conventional IEF. Along with speed, the dPC™ is highly reproducible, and takes the guesswork out of isoelectric point separations. This is because proteins are trapped in discrete compartments on the dPC™. Speed and reproducibility make the dPC™ an ideal companion in any laboratory doing protein research and identification. And, it fits into the demanding workflow of high throughput research at an affordable price. Currently under development are the dPC™ running system and disposable products. The dPC™ running system provides precise voltage, temperature and agitation control to ensure accurate results. The dPC™ will be offered in a variety of standard and customizable pH ranges to meet the demanding needs of protein researchers.
