Flybridge Capital Partner's Jeff Bussgang Debuts Book on Entrepreneurship Titled Mastering the VC Game

BOSTON, MA – April 29, 2010 - Jeffrey Bussgang, a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners, today released a new book focused on providing entrepreneurs with an insider's guide to the world of venture capital.  In Mastering the VC Game, Bussgang provides detailed insights, stories, and practical advice gathered from his own experience as both an entrepreneur and VC.  The book also draws on interviews with dozens of today's most successful entreprenuers and venture capitalists, including Twitter's Jack Dorsey, LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman, Zynga’s Mark Pincus, Union Square Venture's Fred Wilson and Draper Fisher Jurvetson's Tim Draper.

Many entrepreneurs have common misconceptions about what it takes to build a start-up and eventually turn it into a mature company. Bussgang’s book provides both the venture capilistalist and entrepreneur perspective, creating an essential, educational guide on the do's and don'ts of raising capital and building your business.

“Finding the right VC for you and your company can be a challenging task,” observed Zappos.com founder and CEO Tony Hsieh.  “Bussgang’s recounting of his experience gives a unique perspective on the VC world and is a compelling read for entrepreneurs.”

Regarding the book, Brad Feld, managing director and co-founder of Foundry Group said, I've read a lot of books on the subject of venture capital as an entrepreneur for 10 years and a VC for 15 years.  Bussgang’s book is by far the best to date on the subject.

Mastering the VC Game: A Venture Capital Insider Reveals How to Get from Start-up to IPO on Your Terms (ISBN-10:1591843251) goes on sale April 29th. The retail price is $25.95 and it is available from leading retailers including Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Borders, 800CEORead, and Indie Bound.
