Sciformix Corporation Expands Executive Team with Appointment of Dr. Sidney N. Kahn

Industry Veteran Joins Company’s Pharmacovigilance Practice
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – May 26, 2009 – Sciformix Corporation, a leading provider of knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced the appointment of Dr. Sidney N. Kahn to its executive team. A well-known industry expert in drug safety, Dr. Kahn previously served on the Sciformix Scientific Advisory Board and now, in his new role, will lead the company’s Pharmacovigilance practice.

Dr. Kahn brings many years of deep experience in drug safety & risk management to the company. After 17 years in academia in the UK and USA, Dr. Kahn spent 13 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson managing safety assessment and risk management organizations for medicines throughout their lifecycle before establishing his own pharmacovigilance consulting practice in 2002. He was actively involved in multiple global pharmacovigilance initiatives, including several ICH EWGs, the CIOMS-VI WG, the HL7 SPL Implementation WG, and DIA SIACs for Labeling, Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance, and Terminology Management. He holds an MB, ChB (Cape Town), a Ph. D. (London), specialist certification by the Royal College of Pathologists, and membership of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, UK.
